should it not be 60 because Previousyear calculates for complete calendar year from last year? Even Power BI calculates like that in a matrix.

Agree, I tested. PREVIOUSYEAR returns Jan 1, 2023 - Dec 31, 2023 DATESYTD() returns sales from Jan 1, 2023 - May 9, 2023

Selected Answer: B
In a single-date context, PREVIOUSYEAR ≈ SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR But in broader contexts (e.g., month, year), they differ.

It returns 60 as PREVIOUSYEAR( ) returns a table with all dates from the previous year.

Answer is B 15, cheked with chatgpt. Here the explanation: The correct answer is B. 15 The page filter is set to May 9, 2024, so the PREVIOUSYEAR('Date'[Date]) calculation will be applied to the same day in the previous year, i.e., May 9, 2023.

D because PREVIOUSYEAR takes May, 1 2023 (20) + May 9, 2023 (15) + May 29, 2023 (25) to get 60

Selected Answer: B
I believe the answer is still B. Its true PREVIOUSYEAR calculates the complete calendar year from last year but since there is a page-level filter set to May 9, 2024, it will return the specific date one year earlier which is May 9, 2023 acting similarly to SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR If there was no filter, then the answer would be 60.

I think is D, 15 is the result with SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR()

Selected Answer: B
The PREVIOUSYEAR function does not sum all values up to May 9, 2023. Instead, it shifts the filter context to the entire previous year relative to the current filter context. Since the filter context is restricted to May 9, 2024, the PREVIOUSYEAR function shifts the filter to May 9, 2023.

I think is C too, because the key as Anloindian said: PREVIOUSYEAR pulls anything from 2023 to the date they give us.

I agree with C. PREVIOUSYEAR pulls anything from 2023 up to May 9th 2023. SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR is what results in option B
