Correct answer is D: If you want to change the recovery service vault you need to disassociate the previous RSV and delete the backup data. To delete backup data, you need to stop the backup first. So: 1. Stop the backup in RSV1 (D) 2. Remove the backup data. 3. Disassociate the VM in RSV1. 4. Associate the VM in RSV2.

D. From the RSV1 blade, click Backup items and stop the VM2 backup. RSV1 is set for VM1, so C and D are not relating to VM2.

The Question says: "VM2 is protected by RSV1. You need to use RSV2 to protect VM2." So YES, RSV1 is definately relating to VM2 in the beginning of this scenario.

If the question is asking to add RSV2 as a second backup for VM2, then A is correct. If the question is asking to use RSV2 instead of RSV1 as backup for VM2, then the answer is D. I don't think the question is clear here.

D is the correct. I have tested it myself. You need to stop VM2 backup from RSV1 blade first and then, as the question asked, you need to use RSV1 to backup. If not removed, you cannot see the VM2 to select it.

The question is ambiguous: a) we do not know how is VM2 "protected" exactly (Backup or Replication) b) regardless of how it's protected, unless otherwise specified, changing to another Vault can be done by both choosing another protection method and by replacing the existing one

When you open a RSV, you only list Vms that are not backed up by another RSV. So, you need to open RSV blade stop existing back up (with disabling soft delete) and then open another RSV to start a new back up. You don't navigate under VM blade, disaster recovery, but under operations for backup.

A is the correct answer. Reason: ----------- 1. Backup is not an option here because a VM can be backed up only to a single recovery services vault in the same region. For a backup, a VM and RSV would need to be in the same region. 2. However we can replicate (not backup, meaning disaster recovery) a VM to another RSV in another region. By replication, we are protecting the VM as said in the question. Options B, C and D talk about backup and A talk about replication. As per points 1 and 2, only option that talk of replication (protect) is A and hence the answer is option A.

Joby_francis, the problem here is that the question doesn't say which type of protection it means. Both backup and disaster recovery are protection methods. Besides the question did not mention that the RSVs are in different regions

totally agree with Syamantak. 2 important things that are missed in the question: protect means backup or replication? And where is the location of VMs and RSVs.

The key point here is, the quetion is about "Protect" which means Disaster Recovery, not "Backup". I assume A is correct.

Here is what you get when you try to add a new VM to the backups. You cannot add a VM that is backed up to another vault. "Virtual machines in the same region as vault and not protected by another vault are shown".
