Answer is:
D - because the case study says: modification to the Patient form needs to be tested immediately, but the Invoice form modification needs to be tested the following week. Exist in sandbox only one solution that include both Patient and Invoice therefore you can only remove directly the field on QA
I think the correct answer should be A, since if you deploy a next time, the field will be recreated and therefore undoing your change. If using managed solutions, this will also delete the field form QA environment.
I would pick C - remove the field from the solution in QA
Why?
1. I would remove and not delete because the field is only redundant in the patient form, the field might still be useful in another form. So I guess remove field from the form in the solution is what is implied.
2. I picked QA because, testing occurs in QA and solutions in QA will be the one to be imported into the production instance where it will be used by all, so why should I make the changes in Sandbox?
Status is a system field when you create a custom entity. So you wouldn't be able to delete. So it's either removing field from QA or Sandbox depending on which you think is correct.
Moreover, "There is one solution in the Sandbox environment containing modifications to the Patient and Invoice forms" so removing the field from here would be sufficient. I think it's implied that you would be removing the field from the form however poorly worded question I guess (This justification only works with B though)
I think what a couple people are missing is that the redundant field referenced is *not* the status field.
Requirements state that information stored in the status field must be retained. Then in the issues section it says the status field no longer needs to be shown on the form. However, the mention that the nurse found a "redundant field" is completely separate. That redundant field is in fact another unrelated field. Not the status system field.
The best answer is D because:
1. The data is redundant and therefore does NOT need to be retained.
2. "All changes are first created in the Sandbox environment and then imported into the QA environment for testing."
B is 100% the correct answer.
"All changes are first created in the Sandbox environment and then imported into the QA environment for testing." = SANDBOX
remove the field rather than delete to keep the data
Deleting field deletes the data:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/customize/delete-fields
Requirement is for the data to be retained.
Removing field I assume applies to the removing field from the form only.
Hence, I think the "remove" word is more applicable here.
Now in regards to "sandbox" or "QA". There is no mentioning of the managed solution, and requirement is to be tested ASAP. So I would make the changes in the QA right away so they can test.
It states that the change about the patient has to be tested immediately, so the answer should be to delete it directly in QA. Obviously, if then is not deleted also from sandbox the field we'll be created again, but it seems that "resolve" in this case means to have a successful test.
"Testers only have access to the QA environment where testing occurs.
Doctors and nurses enter patient, billing, diagnostic, and other information directly."
Nurse, doesn't has access to the Sandbox. So, it is should be
All changes are first created in the Sandbox environment and then imported into the QA environment for testing, So the best option would be: B - Remove the field from the solution in the Sandbox environment.
Removing the field from the solution doesnt remove the field from the form. I think you should delete the field. Before deleting the field you should remove it from the form of course. this looks like the best solution.
it states that "The modification to the Patient form needs to be tested immediately". Thus you should make the change on QA environment
