Selected Answer: B
Using a shortcut in Microsoft Fabric allows you to create a direct reference to data in an external Azure Storage account, such as a CSV file, without physically copying the data into the lakehouse. This minimizes development effort and avoids unnecessary data duplication. Once the shortcut is created, the data can be accessed and used directly in Lakehouse1. Why not the other options? A. copy job: While a copy job can import data from Azure Storage into the lakehouse, it physically moves the data, which requires more effort compared to using a shortcut and increases data duplication. C. pipeline: A pipeline can automate the data movement process, but it requires setting up ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, which is more complex than creating a shortcut. D. Dataflow Gen2: Dataflow Gen2 is used for data transformation and integration but is less suitable for directly accessing external data with minimal effort.

If "add data" means physically add them to Lakehouse, then Copy. A.

Lakehouse Shortcuts are a minimal effort solution in Fabric to reference external data. This allows you to avoid complex development processes (like writing custom scripts or transforming the data manually) and still make the external data available within Lakehouse1. Shortcuts in Fabric Lakehouses enable you to connect to external data sources (such as data in Azure Storage accounts) directly, without physically copying the data into Lakehouse1. This solution allows you to easily access and work with the CSV data as if it were part of your Lakehouse1 data store, making it a highly efficient and low-code approach.

But you need to "add data to Lakehouse1 from a CSV file", doesn'T that mean you want to have them copied, because Shortcut does not copy them, just point the location.
