Another administrator deploys a virtual machine named VM1 and an Azure Storage account named Storage2 by using a single Azure Resource Manager template.
You need to view the template used for the deployment.
From which blade can you view the template that was used for the deployment?

  • A. Container1
  • B. RG1
  • C. VM1
  • D. Storage2
Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: B 🗳️
View template from deployment history
1. Go to the resource group for your new resource group. Notice that the portal shows the result of the last deployment. Select this link.

2. You see a history of deployments for the group. In your case, the portal probably lists only one deployment. Select this deployment.

3. The portal displays a summary of the deployment. The summary includes the status of the deployment and its operations and the values that you provided for parameters. To see the template that you used for the deployment, select View template.

I think it is StoageAccount2 blade. A blade is the title of the page. When you go to Resource Group blade and click on Deployments it take you to the deployments blade. When you click on the stroage account, you are in storage account overview black, from there you can click on Template

Just thinking about it little more. You Deploy a VM, and create a storage account. You can create multiple Storage accounts in your resource group. So to sum up, I think it is RG1 in stead of Storage2.

'Another administrator deploys a virtual machine named VM1 "and" an Azure Storage account' This is why RG1 is the answer...else you would need to view each one at a time...

If resource group info is not mentioned that is being used to deploy VM1 , then in that case using VM1 to view/download templates make more sense rather than checking RG1 option. Answer should be VM1

Ok - but why not check the template on the VM1 ? Is there a difference?

You can get it from there too, but it's not part of the options, so given is correct

Answer is correct. As all templates can be found from the ResourceGroups->Export Template.

No that will give you all the things that were deployed in RG. You just want to see the latest one where you deployed the VM1 & Storage account 2...hence go to Deployments in RG Blade..select the latest deployment & click on view template

question is weird, it does not even say which resource group was used for storage account creation

Yeah I agree - poorly worded. We'll have to assume it is the same as the initial question. I guess it is more a question of "Which blade can you use to check past template deployments made by another user"
