Step 1: Install the OMS agent on the same server where you plan to use to install the Forwarder. In order for the OMS Forwarder to know the endpoints that it needs to talk to, you need to install the OMS agent on the server on which you plan to install the Forwarder. so the answer should be... A & B

A and B make logical sense. It's sort of hard to follow the given article given the ever-changing terminology. A at least seems solid. E definitely does not. So, B or D...

A and D - fairly certain. Subscriptions would be a terrible design idea - you could potentially need hundreds or thousands of them to collect logs from X number of clients. Instead, point the agent to the forwarder/gateway: https://blog.tyang.org/2016/03/17/oms-log-analytics-forwarder-aka-oms-gateway-preview/

A & B. The forwarder goes on a server that doesn't have an internet connection. And the agent goes on servers with forwarders. Luffy's link in the details section. "The OMS Log Analytics Forwarder enables customers send data to a central server which has access to the Internet... "In order to use the OMS Log Analytics Forwarder, you need to install the OMS agent on the Forwarder Server."

A & D. The question states "You implement Log Analytics in Microsoft Operations Management Suite (OMS) for the servers that connect to the Internet." Agent is already installed on servers with internet connectivity. Plus your link says "The Forwarder can handle up to 1000 OMS concurrent connected devices." It does not need to be installed on each device in the secure network. Also states, "The OMS Log Analytics Forwarder enables customers send data to a central server which has access to the Internet." I believe this means the forwarder IS the central server with internet access.

The given answer is correct, after you installing the monitoring tool/forwarder then you have to create the subscription otherwise the forwarder doesn't know what information need to be collected to forward

Fairly sure the answers should be : Install Microsoft Monitoring Agent on Server1. Install the OMS Log Analytics Forwarder on a server that has Internet connectivity.
