In that link you provided: "At least one network adapter, but it is 'recommended' to use two network adapters" (recommended, not required). Also, "An IP address for communication between the ATA Center and the ATA Gateway that is encrypted using SSL on port 443." Two IP addresses is not mandatory, but the communication must be over SSL port 443, so the certificate IS required. Correct answer is B.

No,man! for ATA Center enough 1 NIC, but it needs two IP addresses in same network! "One of the addresses is used to communicate with the network (receive the traffic from the gateways) and one is for IIS, to host the ATA Console." So, C. Assign an additional IPv4 address.

according to the exam reference book page 220 , you have to have two ip addresses, says to select the ssl cert, IF your network has one

From official microsoft course 20744: "The ATA Center needs one network adapter but should have two IP addresses: bind port 442 on the first IP address and Internet Information Services (IIS) will bind port 442 to the second IP address (10.0.0.1 and 10.0.0.2)."

Poorly written question. There is no absolute correct answer based on current documentation. These are just my thoughts based on current Microsoft documentation. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/advanced-threat-analytics/ata-prerequisites There is absolutely no reference to SCM in the install documentation so the answer is NOT A. A self signed SSL cert can be created during installation so you don't need to obtain a cert prior to install, so the answer is NOT B. The ATA Center can be installed on a domain member or work group server, so the answer is NOT D. Don't confuse the ATA Center with the ATA gateway. The ATA Gateway does require 2 NICS. But the question asks specifically about the ATA Center. The ATA Center just requires 1 (but recommends 2 in a physical environment) and makes reference to an IP needed for communication between the ATA Center and ATA Gateway (but it does't say it's an additional IP, we can only infer). So that makes ANSWER C the closest to being correct.

You are confusing network adapters and IP addresses. Two IP addresses is required, and it is recommended that they are on separate (so two) network adapters. Also in the link "To install and deploy ATA more quickly, you can install self-signed certificates during installation." which indicates that, while required, an SSL certificate does not need to obtained before installation. Correct answer is C. A second IP address must be configure before installation.

ATA only needs one network adapter, but needs 2 IP addresses, as described in that link. You also don't need an SSL certificate beforehand, because the setup gives you the ability to generate self-signed certificates.
