I see what you are saying but I would read it as he has Read access. I doubt they are trying to be that tricky on the exam.

No events will be logged so NO NO NO. It's because despite the Global SACL there is nothing about switching on Object Access/Audit File System. I run short lab - no events collected without having both Advanced Audit settings on (what was easy to predict - we always need general auditing and detailed regarding certain object).

Correct answer is Yes, No, No Deny modify means no read access when I test in 2012r2. Probably same in 2016.
