Set up SharePoint Active Directory Import 15.If you want to filter out users that are disabled in AD DS, select the Filter out disabled users checkbox. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/administration/configure-profile-synchronization-by-using-sharepoint-active-directory-import

I would also say answer B. Since SharePoint 2016 you get an error on clicking "edit connection filter".

Answer should be B. The referenced article is not for AD import. Refer to this article below for AD import. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/administration/configure-profile-synchronization-by-using-sharepoint-active-directory-import
