A & E. The global app permission policy has nothing to do with it...

I agree with A&E. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-and-skypeforbusiness-coexistence-and-interoperability In this coexistence mode, called Islands, each of the client applications operates as a separate island. Skype for Business talks to Skype for Business, and Teams talks to Teams. Users are expected to run both clients at all times and can communicate natively in the client from which the communication was initiated. As such, there's no need for interoperability in Islands mode. all client PC must have SfB and Teams, and login to them.

It's a silly question realy because when the company is upgrading from SFB to Teams then you might expect they allready have SFB installed. But never assume it's nowhere stated they have so I go for A and E. At least that's what you must doe in order nothing will be missed.

Relax, in the real world, it is not that impossible as it might be a fast-growing company (or two companies merge) or a successful start-up that started from a small, not a very elaborated infrastructure, and there are a lot of on-boarding people with brand-new devices with Teams pre-installed. Such an issue is pretty plausible in case of lack of planning.

A & E only. The Global app permission gives you 3 selection category -> 1) Microsoft apps 2) 3rd party apps 3) custom apps. You pick Allow all apps or block all apps. You will need both clients in island mode to receive messages from both clients.

In Island mode, it is not necessary to configure App Permissions policy, it is an optional configuration for 2 other modes: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-and-skypeforbusiness-coexistence-and-interoperability

Island mode means SfB and Teams are completly seperate so policy settings wont change a thing dual client installs and logins the correct solution. A & E

I fail to see what this has to do with the App Permission policy. A&E. All Users using either client must use the other in Islands mode.

AE B: Not possible. C: This setup the Teams app look and feel like pinned apps. D: This blocks the app not the coexistence.
