Your company has a Microsoft 365 subscription.
You need to ensure that users from a partner company named Contoso, Ltd. can collaborate with your company's users in teams. The solution must ensure that the Contoso users can exchange chat messages in channels.

NOTE: Each correct selection is worth one point.

  • A. From the Services & add-ins settings in the Microsoft 365 admin center, set Let group members outside the organization access group content to On.
  • B. From the Guest access settings in the Microsoft Teams admin center, set Allow guest access in Microsoft Teams to On.
  • C. From the External collaboration settings in the Azure Active Directory admin center, add Contoso's domain to the list of target domains.
  • D. From the External access settings in the Microsoft Teams admin center, add Contoso's domain to the Allowed list of domains.

guys. step by step. from this link https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/guest-access-checklist Step 1 says "In the Teams admin center, select Org-Wide settings > Guest access. Set the Allow guest access in Microsoft Teams switch to On." so that's B Step 3 says "Make sure that the Let group members outside the organization access group content check box is selected. If this setting is not selected, guests won't be able to access any group content." so that's A Step 3 also says "Make sure that the Let group owners add people outside the organization to groups check box is selected. If this setting is not selected, team owners won't be able to add new guests." so that's F - C is unnecessarily restrictive. you're not trying to block guests from other domains. D is the same. E is unnecessary. guests don't need to enumerate groups and directories in order to participate in teams and chats. so the answer is A B F

Confusing but : only exchanging Chat messages in Channels can be used by adding guests without External - to setup Guest - those 3 steps A,B and F are necessary, but CDE are unnecessary. It doesn't say that only this domain , so domain restrictions are unnecessary.

If you limit access to a specific domain in Azure AD this autoamtically limits SahrePoint access to. If the requirement to dos so for Teams only (which is not in the question by the way) you should set it in Teams. So C is not an option

BEF should be correct. E is step 2.4 from your hyperlink. C is not neccesary because you don't need to add the domain. By adding te domain it only limits it to this specific domain and that is not neccesary

I'm agree with radioboy. The answer is BCF. In the step 2.4 of hyperlink there is only a description of all settings, not a "real checklist". "Guest User permission" doesn't block Guest Access but only the Guest experience in the tenant (for example enumerating users, groups, or other directory resources)

But maybe... also ABF is correct ... Becouse it's true that by default guest access is active for all domains and it's also true that one of requirement of Guest Access is "Make sure that the Let group members outside the organization access group content check box is selected. If this setting is not selected, guests won't be able to access any group content."..

Check option C again and you'll notice why C can't be a correct option. "...add Contoso to the list of target domains". how correct is that?

**B. From the Guest access settings in the Microsoft Teams admin center, set Allow guest access in Microsoft Teams to On.** This allows users from Contoso to be added as guests in Teams, enabling them to participate in channels and exchange chat messages. **A. From the Services & add-ins settings in the Microsoft 365 admin center, set Let group members outside the organization access group content to On.** This allows Contoso users to access content in your organization's groups, which includes Teams channels. **F. From the Services & add-ins settings in the Microsoft 365 admin center, set Let group owners add people outside the organization to groups to On.** This allows group owners in your organization to add Contoso users to their Teams.

Selected Answer: BCD
159. I think its B,C and D: because question says “exchange chat messages in channels”, so allowing group and group content ( A and F) mainly for files/content sharing and other collaboration. Also specially mentioned the company name which would suggest specifying the domain in allowed domains. BCD would be suffice just for chat messaging B. From the Guest access settings in the Microsoft Teams admin centre, set Allow guest access in Microsoft Teams to On. C. From the External collaboration settings in the Azure Active Directory admin centre, add Contoso's domain to the list of target domains. D. From the External access settings in the Microsoft Teams admin centre, add Contoso's domain to the Allowed list of domains.

BCF Makes most sense B. From the Guest access settings in the Microsoft Teams admin center, set Allow guest access in Microsoft Teams to On. C. From the External collaboration settings in the Azure Active Directory (NOW ENTRA) admin center, add Contoso's domain to the list of target domains. F. From the Services & add-ins settings in the Microsoft 365 admin center, set Let group owners add people outside the organization to groups to On.

Is the giving answers not outdated? I think this should be B,C and D: B. From the Guest access settings in the Microsoft Teams admin center, set Allow guest access in Microsoft Teams to On. C. From the External collaboration settings in the Azure Active Directory admin center, add Contoso's domain to the list of target domains. D. From the External access settings in the Microsoft Teams admin center, add Contoso's domain to the Allowed list of domains.

Answers no longer align with the current situation. From https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/solutions/collaborate-as-team?view=o365-worldwide : AAD > External Identities > External collaboration settings Teams AC > Users > Guest access MS365 > Settings > Org settings > M365 Groups SharePoint AC > Policies > Sharing SharePoint > Sites > Site policies Answer that aligns most closely is ABE

Selected Answer: ABD
By mentioning contoso users only, we should restrict to Contoso so D is on. F is wrong since "before you add the Contoso users to teams" means you are and admin and can add users to Teams. Nowhere in the question it mentions giving owners of the teams the ability to add Guest users, so if the semantics are correct this should be ABD.

Guys A&F are "correct" because we have to choose 3 options and the others don't have nothing to do right? because I can't find "Services & add-ins settings" in M365 admin center

ABF is correct, check on Spetember. Add and access settings in MS365 AC->settings->org settings->MS 365 groups-Manage external sharing-> 1.Let group owners add guests, 2. Let guests access the content. Teams AC->Org-wide settings-> Allow guests->on TBH, it makes sense for to use Azure AD also to allow the domains that we want or just flood every guests. Nonetheless ABF is correct.

From the link https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/guest-access-checklist The step 1 is to access AAD and turn on External Collab settings but there is not an answer on this question for that. Agreed though, the second step is to Turn on Gues access in TAC The last step in M365 is to turn on, "Let group members outside of the org access group content," and then "Let group owners add people outside your org to groups" Yup.. A B and F

I agree that it's A,B,F. Keep in mind, they've changed M365 admin center and now you can find these settings in Settings\Org-wide settings\Services tab\M365 Groups. I'm not sure which version is in the exam. Make sure "Let group owners add people outside your organization to groups" is On (Answer F) Make sure "Let group members outside the organization access group content" is on (Answer A) And finally, in Teams admin make sure "allow guest access in Teams" is on. The rest are either too restrictive or give guests more power than the question calls for.
