Sales cannot handle inventory nor replace the financial system. You could offer Dynamics 365 Sales, Dynamics 365 Finance, and Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management. But, given that they are using Excel to track this, you can assume it is a smaller business and use Business Central as the correct solution.
