For the first selection, right answer is the last one 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017, since we are selecting Unpivot Columns options.

Answer: Select "GeoCode & CustomerCode " then "Unpivot Other Columns" This is working well and I did the exercise.

However, UNPIVOT OTHER COLUMNS is not there in answers, we should use the following options 1) SELECT 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 2) Unpivot Columns This is also working good.

No, try yourself the selected choice for Geocode and count is not correct, the correct is 2014/2015/2016 and 2017

Pivot and Unpivot Pivot: Rows to Columns, Horizontal to Vertical Unpivot: Columns to Rows, Vertical to Horizontal Transpose: used to reverse the rows and column of a table.

Tested this out and Unpivoting is the correct choice, but unpivoting while highlighting GeoCode and CustomerCount is incorrect. If you unpivot on the years you will get the matching solution

Just curious, I tested it. In the new table MA is only mentioned 3 times. The year 2015 is skipped. Is this an error. In my opninion it also should be 2014/2015/2016 and 2017 and then Unpivot. Geocode and CustomerCount will never give the output.

1- Columns to select is "2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017" 2- Unpivot Columns is correct

I have tested it, 2014,2015,2016,2017 should be included columns. And Unpivot!

Seems you are right: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/unpivot-columns-power-query-0f7bad4b-9ea1-49c1-9d95-f588221c7098 Select the years and unpivot them, not the other columns.
