You have a query that retrieves data from a Microsoft Azure SQL database.
You discover that a column named ErrorCode has several values starting with a space character, and a column named SubStatus contains several non-printable characters.
You need to remove all the leading whitespaces from ErrorCode and all the non-printable characters from SubStatus. All other data must be retained.

correct. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerquery-m/text-trim https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerquery-m/text-clean also could do it via PQ editor Ribbon tab "transform" or simply select the target column and then "right click" and then select "transform".

I don't know of any Format or Extract menus in Power Query, but there are Text.Clean and Text.Trim functions. So, I guess by using a little logic you can pick the right answers. Not sure where this question came from. Old version of Power Query?

Transform>Text Column>Format ... Has both Clean and Trim ... Microsoft calls them Ribbons. That threw me off.
