second box should be: not filter factorderdetails, because: In models where DimDate is a role-playing dimension, Power BI can only have one active relationship at a time between DimDate and FactOrderDetails. So, unless you're filtering on the active relationship (e.g., OrderDate), filtering DimDate won’t affect the fact table unless a measure uses USERELATIONSHIP to activate an inactive one.
