Everyone here thinks cognititve, but my initial thought was descriptive, because there's no interpretation or derivation of meaning from audio data. It's descriptive, because this analytical processing simply describes or summarizes (historical) data, raw audio files in this case. The result is what has been said, not why or how something is being said.

Transcribing audio files is an example of cognitive processing. Cognitive processing involves understanding, interpreting, and deriving meaning from data. In the case of transcribing audio files, cognitive processing algorithms are used to analyze and interpret the spoken words in the audio and convert them into text. This process requires understanding the context, language, and nuances of human speech, which falls under the category of cognitive tasks.
