ok..;-) --> In the Audit destination dropdown menu, you can choose to write the SQL audit trail to a file or to audit events in the Windows Security log or Application event log.

Yes, but you set it when creating a SQL Server Audit, not when creating a Server Audit Specification. Bad formulated question and answers.

i have some kind of doubt - often i saq for auditin you specify a separate file - its not logged into OS Application LOG.. unfortunately i have not gone through autiting in practice until now.. has anyone..?
