Just because it is relevant to this topic, keep in mind that you can assign to both users and computers, and you can publish to users; however, you CANNOT Publish to a computer.

In addition to what ArchBishop is saying, A ZAP file can be used to PUBLISH a non-Msi file. A .ZAP File (Zero Administration Package) is a text file, which allows the publishing of an application to a user on a Microsoft Windows system (Windows 2000, XP Professional, Windows Vista, or Windows 7 Professional), for applications for which a .MSI file does not exist. http://www.installworld.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=76:what-is-a-zap-package&catid=40:windows-installer&Itemid=87
