This is UAT performance in D365 UI. An Azure SLQ will help with reporting but will not improve D365 performance. Option two moving part of business logic out of Dynamics to Azure Functions will help performance.

I guess C is because it comes from on-prem, assuming there might be SQL direct queries which were not impacting perf onprem, but same function is impacting perf online as you don't query sql directly anymore.

Tryly is correct. Solution architected is for online not on prem. UAT team will be testing online implementation and is experiencing performance issues. None of the options but moving logic to Azure Functions will improve performance.

C because of the nature of access a baseline improvement of perf will be there for every op. And please don't say we should have used Azure Functions when you are on UAT - You might lose your job !

I guess C is correct. "business logic out of Dynamics to Azure Functions will help performance", is true, but C is true too and less tricky.
