Should be yes. I know there is a better way, but this one just works fine as well.

When you share a report or dashboard you can grant access to the Security Group. You have the option to check or uncheck "allow recipients to build content with the data associated with this report" - but is checking that option equivalent to giving "read access" with least possible priviledges? How is that from a linguistic-analytical point of you? I am not native english and these questions are getting on my nerves.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-roles-new-workspaces •Answer is Yes You can also enforce RLS without giving access to the new workspace. Publish an app and distribute it to those users, or use sharing to distribute content to them.

I think it should be 'no'. The goal is to give the users access to the reports an A dashboard. So not all dashboards!

I tend to agree. The question is rather vague. You could assign the AAD group to the viewer role. The option presented though isn't that specific.

I agree, because it says "You share EACH report and dashboard" Instead of you share reports and a dashboard.

Selected Answer: A
Not the most efficient way, but it works. You can chose which reports/dash will be shared, so you will not share all the dashboards

You saying no are getting too hung up on the word each. It just refers to sharing each thing intended to be shared. Answer is A

We want to share only some reports and a dashboard, so the answer is NO.

B: Sharing a dashboard or a report does not give you automatically rights to read the data set. Sharing alone is not enough.

Answer should be Yes. "When you share a report or dashboard, the people you share it with can view it and interact with it but can't edit it." https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-share-dashboards

Answer: A Explanation: Statements and questions are tricky and confusing. When the access is granted for the group (all users) for ALL (each) dashboards and ALL (each) reports in the workspace, then the will have read access to the specific (A, one) Dashboard and several reports, because they are part of all dashboards and reports. There is no statement, that for the other dashboards (except the one) and the other reports (except the several) that access must be prevented. They are also accessible (maybe it is not desired but not stated here).

I think it should be 'Yes'. It is not a best solution, because if you want to share 5 reports and 1 dashboard. You have to repeat the 2 second step several times. But it works. Step: 1. Setup security group and assign members in Active Directory or Microsoft 365 admin center. 2. Open one report or dashboard in Power BI service -> Click share -> Select a security group. In this way, you can assign read only access to a group of users for a specific report or dashboard.
