You should use PyPI as an upstream source for Python packages in Azure Artifacts. PyPI is the default repository for Python packages and can be used as an upstream source for other package managers. Maven Central is used for Java packages, npmjs.org is used for Node.js packages, and third-party trusted Python repositories would be specified by their specific URL.

(npmjs.com, NuGet.org, Maven Central, and PyPI) Upstream sources enable you to use a single feed to store both the packages you produce and the packages you consume from "remote feeds": both public feeds (for example, npmjs.com, NuGet.org, Maven Central, and PyPI) and authenticated feeds (that is, other Azure DevOps Services feeds in your organization or in organizations in your Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) tenant).
