This link is helpful to understand the document inspector specifically designed to make a document ready for sharing. The question is unfortunately confusing as to what data needs to be removed since the document inspector does not remove the connection to the databases that the pivot chart and pivot table is linked to. D is, though, the closest to the right answer. I tested, the answer should be C, run the Document Inspector and remove the embedded data, it will remove data from data model, however as long as the user can connect to the Server, the data can be retrieved from server to Excel after refresh.

The right answer is D - Document Inspector allows you to remove data from the Data Model (which is the point of the question). Chaning the credentials will make it impossible to refresh the data but won't delete the existing data from the data model.

How would a user connect to teh server? The question says, "You plan to share SalesResult.xlsx to several users outside of your organization." How could they refresh? Maybe I missed something?

Definitely C : https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Make-changes-to-an-existing-data-source-in-Power-Pivot-9CB508D3-1A83-4D83-A944-700CE41332B6 The article above explains that to keep a data model but prevent the data from being visualised one needs to "Change the authentication method or the credentials used to access the data".

The question says : data in the model must be removed. So according to your link the option C is insufficient. This is a data privacy issue, so D is a better option.
