Dear All, It's not a workflow with a manual decision because it contains automated decisions as well.. And also always pay attention to the amount written. First answer is heavily based on 7000 USD

1. The expense report will go through Frank, Sue and Ann for approval. 2. Workflow with a line-item workflow element. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/fin-ops/organization-administration/overview-workflow-system

The workflow ends after Sue approves the expense report. This statement is incorrect because the workflow has one more approval step after Sue's approval. The approval step for Ann is still part of the workflow, even though it is not required for the expense report. The workflow ends after Ann approves or skips the expense report https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/modules/create-use-workflows-finance-operations/ Workflow with multiple users in a task. This type of workflow allows you to create a workflow element that requires multiple users to complete a task or approval before the workflow can continue, such as a consensus or a quorum. This type of workflow does not have a line-item workflow element, which is used in the workflow for expense reports.

Complete: When a user completes a task, the document that was submitted for processing is assigned to the next user in the workflow, if there is a next user. "If no additional processing is required, the workflow process ends." https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/modules/create-use-workflows-finance-operations/4-assign-users In this case, Ann's process is not required because she only approves expense over $10,000. Then workflow ends after Sue approves report.

The first one is Ivan, Kim, and Dean must all complete the manual task. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/fin-ops/organization-administration/overview-workflow-system?context=%2Fdynamics365%2Fcontext%2Fcommerce

Sorry, I am wrong. A task can be assigned to multiple people. However, only one person can complete a task.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamicsax-2012/appuser-itpro/workflow-with-multiple-users-in-a-task It's clearly mentioned "A task can be assigned to multiple people." in the above link. So, the answer to 2nd question, "Workflow with multiple users in a task" is correct.

I think Multiple users in a task is correct. Manual decision is not a manual task.
