Live connection is for analysis services model while direct query is for database https://radacad.com/directquery-live-connection-or-import-data-tough-decision

We want live data, so Direct Query is needed. Direct Query does not work on on-premises data gateway in personal mode. So the answer is clearly B.

Has to be on-premsis data gateway and NOT personal https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/service-gateway-personal-mode As we want live data data - Direct Query.
