C is incorrect. Once you enable Log Analytics, you can create Workbooks with various Metrics and view in a graphical way and D is the correct answer https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-monitor/visualizations

there is apparently a reference to support every option. why not making it simpler….traffic flow is a real-time numeric value and not a structured event. so it is a metric and not a log. Hence answer B.

logs wouldn't have the data we need as we are looking at performance metrics for the VMs. Workbooks provide the ability to bring in disparate data sources to create an interactive dashboard for visualisation.

The correct answer is D. From Azure Workbook, you create a new workbook, you select VM as resource type, resource scope as metric scope and then you select the two VMs you want to run metrics against. You can also configure the time range and the style of visualization you want for the chart

On exam 23 Dec 2021 and I chose C. Am not too sure if I answered correctly. Based on Azure monitor, there are three options "Monitor & Visualize Metrics", "Query & Analyze Logs", "Setup Alert & Actions" under overview page. The description of "Query & Analyze Logs" mentions that it says "Logs are activity logs, diagnostic logs and telemetry from monitoring solutions; Analytics queries help with troubleshooting & visualizations."
