Why Continuous? Should it be non-continuous? requisitions are INTERNAL documents. "Continuous number sequences are typically required for external documents, such as purchase orders, sales orders, and invoices."

Identifiers must not have missing values. See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/fin-ops/organization-administration/number-sequence-overview It says "Numbers from a non-continuous number sequence are used sequentially, but the number sequence may skip numbers"

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamicsax-2012/appuser-itpro/number-sequence-overview In the example they show that constant is the prefix while alphanumeric is the following after the prefix. It is weird how they word it but the answer here is correct.
