All the virtual machines use basic disks. VM1 is protected by using BitLocker Drive Encryption (BitLocker).
You plan to migrate the virtual machines to Azure by using Azure Site Recovery.
You need to identify which virtual machines can be migrated.
Which virtual machines should you identify for each server? To answer, select the appropriate options in the answer area.

For VMware: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/site-recovery/vmware-physical-azure-support-matrix no VM1 due to bit locker no VM2 due to OS disk > 2T For Hyper-V https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/migrate/migrate-support-matrix-vmware-migration no VMC due to OS > 300G and Data > 4T

VMC is also not eligible because the OS disk exceeds the limit for V2 VMs, which is 300GB.Th explanation mentions only the Data disk, but the OS disk is also not supported. Quote: 'Up to 300 GB for generation 2 VMs.' From: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/site-recovery/hyper-v-azure-support-matrix#azure-vm-requirements

Is the table correct? I only see reference to Generation 1 and Generation 2 machines under VMware, and not for HyperV, so are VM1-3 on on HyperV and VMA-C on VMware?

VM3 only and VMA, VMB, VMC (data disk limit is at 32TB) This is the correct one. why many people said the VMC can't be migrated. 4TB is for storage account, 32TB is for the managed disk

All disks are basic and so not managed disks, so have the 4TB limit

The explanation "VM2 cannot be migrates as the OS disk on VM2 is larger than 2TB."... I don't agree with. The only place I can find the 2TB limit is with respect to "Generation 1" VMs, and the Generation thing does not apply to VM2 as it is VMWare and not Hyper-V. This fact is supported by the "Not applicable" value under Generation for VM2. For VMWare, in the link below, it does refer to Generation 1 and Generation 2 - but I believe this to be a mistake in the Microsoft documentation! https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/site-recovery/vmware-physical-azure-support-matrix#azure-vm-requirements ...because I don't think Generations apply to VMWare. The answer may be right, but I disagree with this part of the explanation.

BitLocker must be disabled before you enable replication for a machine and the max OS disk size for Generation1 machines is 2TB. Only VM3 is aligned to these requirements. VMA and VMB can be migrated as there is no bit locker enabled and data disk size is less than 4TB. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/site-recovery/vmware-physical-azure-support-matrix#azure-vm-requirements Answer is correct
