I think both will answers are Review SSS dashboard. Reason, whatever the cause of the issue is, dashboard will display the same. Then user can decide the next action accordingly.

Correct answers are: A : review server side sync dashboard - test and enable is not necessary since he can already track emails. he just has problems sending them, which is probably an issue from the exchange. - reinstall will not work sincce he can track mails B: test and enable - he cannot send and receive so probably there is no connection between outlook and dynamics -> for both folder level tracking is not a valid option

hmm is it possible for test and enable to succeed on 'incoming email', but fail on 'outgoing email'?...

This article seems to suggest you could have different settings on incoming vs. outgoing email settings https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/set-incoming-outgoing-email-synchronization

The only option can be Test & Enable Mailboxes for both. This because review server sid syn dashboard resolves nothing. It shows you information about the possible cause. But the question is what do we need to do to solve it.. Watching only the cause makes no sense..

CUSTOMER A - Initiate a Test and Enable Mailbox because the system is Onpremise and the dashboard exist only for online CUSTOMER B - Review the Server-Side Synchronization Dashboard

I have looked into your comment saying the dashboard is only available for online and what you say is completely false. Please back your claim with some documentations before posting wrong answers to confuse other people !

I don't understand the question as it's put. Why are customers sending and tracking emails from D365? Surely it's users or shared mailbox users and you can't track from a shared mailbox anyway. The question really doesn't make sense to me - can anyone explain?

I guess they are saying, that you are a Dynamics Consultant having multiple customers (your own clietnts) which are facing these issues.

I think Initiate a Test and enable mailbox for customer A To make sure you’ve got a good connection to Exchange on-premises run the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer. For information on what tests to run, see Test mail flow with the Remote Connectivity Analyzer.
