[All MB-330 Questions]

You are the warehouse manager at a distribution center.
In the warehouse, items must be moved to a staging location before moving to the baydoor location for shipping.
You need to set up a work template that accomplishes this pick/put scenario.
Which two actions should you perform? Each correct answer presents part of the solution.
NOTE: Each correct selection is worth one point.

  • A. Create one work class ID with valid location types of staging and baydoor. Assign these to the work template details.
  • B. Create two work templates: one is a pick/put from inventory to staging and the other is from staging to baydoor.
  • C. Create a sales order work template with two pick/put pairs: one to staging and the second to baydoor.
  • D. Create two work class IDs: one with valid put location types of staging and the other of baydoor. Assign these to the appropriate put work types on the work template.

C&D are correct. One work template with 2 pairs of Pick and Put for staging and baydoor respectively. Make 2 work class IDs one each for staging and baydoor, assign them to respective work types

This is correct. If you only have 1 work ID, valid put locations would be both, which is incorrect. You can only pick from stage and put at baydoor. You cant pick from inventory and put directly at baydoor which is what that configuration would allow.

Selected Answer: CD
c. This sets up the core structure of the work template to handle the required sequence within a single work order. D. This adds validation to ensure the put operations target the correct locations (staging and baydoor) as defined in the work template.

The work lines represent the physical tasks that are required to process the work. For example, for an outbound warehouse process, there might be one line for picking up the items in the warehouse and another line for putting those items into a staging area. There can then be an additional line for picking the items from staging and another line for putting the items into a truck as part of the loading process. You can set a directive code on work template lines. A directive code is linked to a location directive, and therefore helps ensure that the warehouse work is processed in the correct location in the warehouse.

A and C A - One work class with valid put locations Stage and Baydoor C - Work template can use one work class for both pick and put pairs D - it's wrong as you assign the work class to both picks and puts. The description for the portion is describing Directive Codes that are placed only on puts.

A and C are the correct answers. You need to create Work class ID pointing Stage and Baydoor. Then create new Work template with 4 steps > Pick/Put to Stage > Pick/Put to Baydoor. and assign the work classes accordingly.

If you choose (A), you have a single work class where both staging and Baydoor are allowed. I'm not an AWS expert, but the idea is that each put can only have one acceptable location. A single work class would not satisfy that requirement AFAIK.
