Why on earth does it say no. That should be a simple one. The cmdlet gives you exactly the string you've entered. It requires administrative privileges of course to run it. Get-NpsSharedSecretTemplate -Name mySharedSecretTemplate Name SharedSecret ---------- --------------------- mySharedSecretTemplate mySuperSecretSharedSecret

Actually, the correct answer is B which is NO, sorry about the previous mistake, the command just show the secret template, will not show the secret string, the question asking for the secret string.

I just ran it on a server in a lab and it returned the template name and the shared secret in plain text.

Following questions, including this question, have common preconditions. But each question isn't same. page16/question80:You can view shared password.(*1) page17/question81:You can't. page17/question82:You can't. (*1)You can view it by using Export-NpsConfiguration or Get-NpsSharedSecretTemplate. That is: You can view it by using powershell. You can view it by console.

Answer is A. Yes....Tested on a server that has the network policy role installed, and i created a "test" shared secret template using the test1234 password. I then Opened powershell and ran the exact command, "Get-NpssharedSecretTemplate -Name test" Output: Name ShareSecret test test1234

The periodic incorrect answers selected on this site should force everyone to research all solutions, it's actually a good learning process....also do CBT courses and labs...etc

Don't trip, even CBT nuggets skips certain things tho. Most of the times they aren't concise either. The books are still the best source.

The Exam Ref for this specific exam is woefully lacking. It's the smallest book of the trilogy and it honestly ought to be the largest.

This would seem like the answer is yes, as of course it is. But its missing a crucial part, as you must run powershell as admin to run Get-NpsSharedSecretTemplate otherwise it states you must run as admin, as per the question it does not indicate that you have opened powershell as admin. so therefore the answer is NO

I agree with Dritter; the answer should be A; The Get-NpsSharedSecretTemplate cmdlet returns a list of available shared secret templates. Network Policy Server (NPS) includes a template type that you can use to assign a shared secret when you configure a Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) client or server.

Yep, I just ran the command, and it indeed returns the shared secret string. It is odd that this is the first time I have ever heard of this command. Once again, it is BS questions like this, that founded this site. :-) I don't understand why Microsoft does not hold their "official" vendors accountable for incorrect questions on "official" practice exams.
