The answer is between word templates or Excel templates. Im more inclined towards word template because printing it the key requirement here.

Word template guys Because Excel Template is based on Views, so you wouldn't send to customer A, info from customer B. Word Template can be generated from the entity form itself.

yes, correct; had to read the question again but when I did, the choice between Word or Excel template is obvious. It has to be Word, to give the customer the printed sheet of info that relates only to them

word template as it is specific for a record whereas excel template is specific for a view. In word template aslso there is option to insert chart for showing statistics

Excel template because you can include client specific information (client record specific) as well as statistics from D365 (eg pivottable/charts based on the opportunities or any related entity associated with client) in an excel template.The statistics cannot be done using word template

what's the problem with Sales Literature ? in the question they are talking about sales team and printed material to be handed out which exactly matches the sales literature that stores sales-related information such as brochures or detailed specifications of products

sales lit is for association with a competitor or a product. it wont have customer specific information only generic data.

Marketing list just groups the 'recipients'. The question doesnt specify a specific group of recipients. You need to be able to create this print out for any client.
