Question asks for copies of EXISTING items. A does not involve an existing item. I think BCD is correct: - Open an existing item, and then click the Save as Template action on the item card - On the Set Up Customer/Vendor/Item Templates page, edit the information in the newly created item template - Create a new item, and then select the new template name to copy the information to the item

I really like all your postings because I find them the most logical. But in this case I think requirement is to have the solution in one sentence. And in this case D is not a complete solution because it only creates the template - not applied. Anyway ... I find the B point extremly bad formulated "...click on the action..."

The assignment doesn´t say to apply the template, therefore the correct answer is B,C,D

B,C & E The customer wants to manually add many similar items. You need to help the customer create copies of existing items. The key words "existing items" excludes automatically option A) On the Set up Customer/Vendor/Item Templates page, create a new item template So B,C & E accorfing to me is correct -> B) Create a new template from existing item; C) Edit it and E) Create new item using the newly created template I'm excluding option D) because it's not enough just to create a new template for item table on Configuration Templates page - in order to create a new item you have to start the "Create instance" function from the Configuration Templates and this action is not actually the idea for manually creating a new items :)

Selected Answer: BCE
The correct answers are: B. Open an existing item, and then click the Save as Template action on the item card. C. On the Set Up Customer/Vendor/Item Templates page, edit the information in the newly created item template. E. Create a new item, and then select the new template name to copy the information to the item. Explanation: To create copies of existing items in Dynamics 365 Business Central, you need to first create an item template. You can do this by opening an existing item and then clicking the Save as Template action on the item card. Once you have created the item template, you can edit the information in it on the Set Up Customer/Vendor/Item Templates page. Finally, to create a new item based on the template, you need to create a new item and then select the new template name to copy the information to the item.

Sorry, in my opinion "Customer/Vendor/Item Templates page" doesn't exist, so A & C are wrong B. Open existing item and save as template D. On Configuration Templates page add new item template E. Create new item and apply a item template

Why are three actions a "must" (regarding to the task text)?? I would say B and E is a must, C is an option.

You wouldn't perform both A and B. If you do, you would be creating two templates. I don't like A & D because you're creating a template from scratch. Process of elimination leaves BCE. B = create the template, C = edit template and E = apply the template to new asset.

If you use A, it is not to copy from existing item, but from template. But if you use B, you create a template from the existing item. In other words, you copy the existing item.
