Actual exam question from Microsoft's MB-320
Question #: 2
Topic #: 3
[All MB-320 Questions]

A customer produces light projection toys for holiday decorations throughout the year.
You are in the first month of a season. Production flows take one day to complete.
The floor supervisor reports that seasonal production targets will not be met. You review the Kanban schedule board and identify thousands of unplanned jobs.
You need to plan the jobs to be completed two weeks prior to the start of the next season.
What are two possible ways to achieve this goal? Each correct answer presents a complete solution.
NOTE: Each correct selection is worth one point.

  • A. Set the Automatic planning option for each unscheduled job to Yes
  • B. Manually schedule each unscheduled job on its due date
  • C. Set the Automatic planning option for each unscheduled job to No
  • D. Manually schedule each unscheduled job forward from the date of the end of the season
  • E. Manually schedule each unscheduled job to the next period of the start of the next season

Would make a lot more sense if option D was "backward" from the end of the season, not "forward".

This still doesn't work because it needs to be 2 weeks prior to end of season or at least a 2 week break between seasons which is not mentioned. AB are the only options that achieve this.

Automatic planning quantity is a number, not Yes|No value

Go to the Kanban schedule board, select Board, then Plan unplanned kanbans. At the bottom part is the Automatic planning button (Yes/No). So you select all the unplanned kanbans, click to Yes in Automatin Planning and Ok. So, A and B are correct.

D doesn't look correct. A or E?

AB for me. E doesn't work because the requirement is 2 weeks prior to end.
