So far nobody questioned the answer, so let me be the first. I think a prospect is similar as a vendor a role. The vendor is registered in the Global address book, so the prospect should be registered in the global address book also following that logic. If not, why not register the vendor as contact? Pity that the roles of Vendor and Prospect are not listed as answers, that would have made it easier.

Since the Prospect is not a customer they will be set up as a contact. The vendor is different because it has a contract. I think that makes sense.
