Careful with this one. If we are talking about "outside replication", the options will be GRS and RA-GRS (particular case that gives active-active between regions with reading accessible in the second one). However, GRS does NOT allow to read in the secondary region in an active-active way. It only happens when the first region fails. Bear this in mind. The option is correct given the requirements in the question.

Selected Answer: BD

A. Incorrect. ZRS replicates data across availability zones within the same region, providing high availability within that region but does not replicate data outside the region. B. Correct. RA-GRS replicates data to a secondary region and allows read-only access to the data in the secondary region if the primary region becomes unavailable. C. Incorrect. LRS replicates data within a single physical location in the primary region and does not provide cross-region replication. D. Correct. GRS replicates data to a secondary region, providing redundancy across regions. However, unlike RA-GRS, it does not allow read access to the secondary region.

B and D are correct. The hierarchy of locality within Azure goes zone < region < geo, so when the question specifies that data has to be copied outside of the region, the only remaining options are those that specify "geo".

In most of the cases, GRS would be preferred, so few of the business would request for access for writing like to create a folder inside blob, or to upload a doc manually into the blob, so most of the cases GRS is preferable.
