The answer which would make sense is C) but in the scenario they mentioned that ASC is Standard already? I think it is a typo and it should be 'free' which will then make answer c) more logical. Also note this is old way of MS ASC tiers (free, standard) which has now been changed to ASC Free, ASC AD ON
To support eh answer.
While the Azure Security Center free tier offers some basic security features, customizing operating system security configurations is limited compared to the standard tier. However, you can still take some steps to enhance your OS security within the free tier:
Available Options in Free Tier
Review basic security recommendations provided by Azure Security Center for your VMs and other resources.
Enable the built-in Azure policies related to OS security that are available in the free tier.
Use Azure Policy to create and assign custom policies for auditing specific OS configurations across your Azure resources.
Limitations
It's important to note that the free tier has significant limitations:
Advanced security features and customization options are not available.
Threat detection capabilities are limited.
Continuous security assessments are restricted
Anaswer: C ( It seems a typo issue in this question )
To customize the operating system security configurations in Azure Security Center, you need:
Azure Security Center with Defender for Servers Plan 2 enabled.
The Azure Policy machine configuration extension installed on target machines.
Proper permissions, such as Security Administrator in Microsoft Entra ID.
One of the requirements is: "Microsoft Antimalware must be installed on the virtual machines in RG1." That would speak for A.
Not B - Cloud App security has nothing to do with the requirements
Not C- It is already in Standard tier, "upgrade to Standard tier" doesn't make sense
Not D - There is no such thing as "Workspace configuration" in Defender for Cloud (formerly Security Center)
Question is not about "Platform Protection Requirements". If it is then A is correct answer, but seems D is correct answer. Couldn't find anything related to it.
Azure security Center already Standard tier, so answer is D. Link here: https://azure.microsoft.com/sv-se/blog/azure-security-center-adds-support-for-custom-security-assessments/
I would go for D. As Azure Security Center is already set to Standard Tier.
You can also not Auto Provisioning from LAW, Since Auto Provisioning only install the monitoring agents, they cannot change security config
Litware must be able to customize the operating system security configurations in Azure Security Center.
What does this even mean? Modify the policy parameters in Azure policy? Select the security logging type?
There are two versions of the question. One says it's set to standard, making D the correct answer and one says it's set to free tier, which also makes C correct. I hope this clarifies the confusion
I think it is D.
Although this is outdated becouse Azure Security Center doesn't exits any more:
