Could someone explain me what's the usage of Assembly Linker? In its documentation it says "The Assembly Linker generates a file that has an assembly manifest from one or more files that are either modules or resource files. A module is an intermediate language (IL) file that does not have an assembly manifest." Thus, as the name says, this is used to link assemblies but the question mentions only Assembly1...

"CAN be deployed" - only "can" So we need only to prepare assembly, not deploy. Tht's wy we will not use Gacutil. SN, AL

Gacutil deployed to GAC Strong Name tool (sn.exe), does this tool copy the assembly into the GAC or only sign the assembly? - It only signs the assembly with a strong name.

Correct, the second one is AL having the required list of params. The first program is SN used to generate the key.

OK, maybe I am wrong. gacutil does not has -out parameter. It should be SN, AL.

Gacutil.exe is correct. There are two ways to deploy an assembly into the Global Assembly Cache: Use an installer designed to work with the Global Assembly Cache. This is the preferred option for installing assemblies into the Global Assembly Cache. Use a developer tool called the Global Assembly Cache tool (Gacutil.exe), provided by the Windows SDK. SN is for strong name.
