HOTSPOT -
Your company has a branch office that has three floors. The office currently uses a different subnet on each floor. The subnets are configured as shown in the following table.

You have been asked to use reconfigure the network to use one subnet that encompasses all three floors. The new subnet will come from the 192.168.0.0/16 address space.
You need to identify which IP address and which subnet mask to use for the default gateway. The solution must meet the following requirements:
✑ Use the first available subnet
✑ Use a single subnet for all three floors
✑ Use the first available IP address on the segment for the default gateway
✑ Minimize the number of unused IP addresses
Which IP address and which subnet mask should you identify? To answer, select the appropriate options in the answer area.
NOTE: Each correct selection is worth one point.

192.168.0.0/16 is the class C private network address space, which includes all networks from 192.168.0.0/24, 192.1681.0/24..... 192.168.255.0/24 192.168.0.0/24 is the first class C private network, and we need to subnet it to support 45 hosts, a /26 netmask (255.255.255.192) with 6 host IDs should support (2^6)-2 = 62 hosts. In this network 192.168.0.0/26 First available unicast address is 192.168.0.1 Last available unicast address is 192.168.0.62 Broadcast address is 192.168.0.63

For sure. "Minimize the Number of Unused IP addresses" is key here. Otherwise, I see no reason why it wouldn't be 255.255.0.0.

My understand is as follow. 1)Use a single subnet for all three floors The number of computers is 45. 2)Minimize the number of unused IP addresses 64(00111111): > 45 computers > 32(00011111) subnetmask is 255.255.255.192(255 - 64 + 1 = 192) 3)Use the first available subnet The first subnet is 192.168.0.00 - 192.168.0.063 But you can use that 192.168.0.01 - 192.168.0.062 4)Use the first available IP address on the segment for the default gateway The gateway is 192.168.0.1

255.255.255.192 I would like to ask, .192 is destined to subnet mask as it is shown on the question. It wouldn't be /25 because I'm using 192 or in this case, as I said, this is set to subnet mask I can't use this bit as a reference, right so thinking this way, I use the next bit which gives me CIDR /26
