N, Y, N 1. No, because the file was created before 2019-03-01. Both conditions must be fulfilled. 2. Yes, both Created and Modified dates are OK. 3. No special permissions are preserved. "Deny" counts as a special permission.

The question is: How does the migration logic works? Does that mean that: 1: Files Create After some date AND Files Modified After other dates, or 2: Files Create After some date OR Files Modified After other dates? If option 1 is true, then answer 1 is NO as the AND statement will exclude it If option 2 is true, then answer 1 is YES as the OR statement would be more inclusive

Thank you for providing the link and explanation, but I'm confused by your conclusion for file3. Domain users = read, User1=deny => special permission for user1 will not be migrated => user1 is domain user which means user1 can read the file! So it must be Y

The statement is: "User1 will be denied access to read File3.txt in SharePoint when the migration is complete." The answer is N because User1 will not be denied access. They will be able to access it.

I can confirm as I just ran through everything in this question with my own tenant. Both conditions need to be met, and the Deny for User1 will be seen as a special permission and will ALLOW User1 to open the file in SPO. Nice work, Kanag1!

I think and based on the test that the answer is correct The relation is AND, so 1 - No 2- Yes 3- Yes, as the Domain users are granted access and will be migrated, but the deny wont be migrated. so the final result on the cloud will be that domain users can read and Domain users include User3 Correct me if I was wrong.

Read the question again. We are talking about a "share". If you look at the exhibit, the "Preserve file share permissions" is set to on. That makes the answer YES. NYY

YYY On the first answer: I could still need a 20yo file, that would not be migrated if the implemented logic is AND. Moreover, if the creation date field and the modify one use the logic operator AND only the file after March 2019 wil be migrated. So what's the point to set a creation date filter?

I think the answer is NYY 1. No, because the file was created before 2019-03-01. 2. Yes, both modified and created dates are OK. 3. Yes, the question says the user will be denied access, if the permissions are migrated over then they will be blocked from accessing the file.

People need to start using their heads. If all you need to do is modify a file to make it recent, then what's the point of the filters? Any super old file created 20 years ago can bypass this limitation, if all you need to do is make them have a new modified date. There's a reason for the filters and so both the created and modified date need to fulfill the condition.

i think should be y y y there is no logic in it if the files must be created AND modified after a certain date. If a file has been created in 1999 it does not mean it is no longer in use, that's what the modified after filter is for, to catch those files which are older already but still in use and therefor have to be migrated. I think the file rights will be transfered as well: Preserve user permissions for file share migration:- By default, this is set to On. When preparing for your file share migration, it's important to know what's being migrated when you use the SharePoint Migration Tool and what's not. First answer should be yes because its modified after 1st march 19 There is no such Deny function on SharePoint online so third answer is no

First answer is NO. File was created before 1st Jan 2019, and therefore doesn't meet the policy to be migrated to SharePoint Online.

but there are two filtering rules. 1. when the file was created 2. when the file was modified. file1 does not meet the first rule, but does the second. it should be migrated.

The answer is correct, however, the 3rd answer is correct because user rights will be preserved, not because it will be migrated.
