To all of you who wonder what multi-master support actually is: 'Till now, all the distributed system architecture works like one Write data server and multiple Read data servers. Data are replicated to all data servers from Write data server. With the multi-master feature, we can choose all data servers to act as Write server data will be replicated with other data servers. The big challenge of multi-master, avoid the data duplication in data replication.' https://www.c-sharpcorner.com/article/utilize-multi-master-support-in-azure-cosmos-db/

perhaps multi-master = multi region writes ; check second table in this article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cosmos-db/high-availability But then it might as well be A?

D correct. tested in Azure portal. 1. create account in Azure Cosmo DB account 2. under left hand menu bar, locate "Settings" --> "Replicate data globally" <-- click it 3. Turn on "Enable" --> "Multi-region writers. explanation shown in "!" mark : Multi-master capability allows you to take advantage of the provisioned throughput for your databases and containers across the globe.

A should be correct answer. (Agree with hmAZtime) According to following link, - 'master' , 'model' are not mentioned at all. - Global distribution is mentioned. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cosmos-db/table-support

I think it's A Table API support failover over the region. From the same document provided: "Support for automatic and manual failovers at any time, anywhere in the world."

I think I would agree with the answer after one more time research. While not found any 'multi - master' proof in Microsoft documents, I did see couple of other sites mentioned 'multi - modle', I pasted one link here, sorry I lost the other one. on the other hand, A is not that clearly described to me, I'm not sure it meant regionally failover. So this time I go with D. https://db-engines.com/en/system/Microsoft+Azure+Cosmos+DB%3BMicrosoft+Azure+Table+Storage
