Both could be done with a canvas, it just comes down to what you are most comfortable working with. Again this is a question where knowing what the author of the question thinks, is more important than the actual way this could be done.

No, Canvas would not work here. From the MS Learn site: "Canvas apps can embed individual tiles from Power BI dashboard but not entire dashboards"

1. Canvas App: they can integrate with multiple data sources, as field operatives need to call data from different dataSources. 2. Model-driven app: allows functions like VIEWS DASHBOARDS Galleries and Form, they are Built based on a model data store in the DATAVERSE(which is why they are called MODEL-DRIVEN APPS). They cam allow you to integrate with Power BI abilities to call integrate dashboard directly on your App, too

2) for model-driven app. As I remembered, model-driven apps can view users' information and data by clicking their name in dashboard.

To be honest, I would consider Common Data Service as a first answer. CDS with D365 Field Service application is design for "Field technicians" and have mobile app with features from question -> https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/field-service/mobile-2020-power-platform
