You don't get the folder target with Get-DfsnFolder. Get-DfsnFolder only gets the settings: "This command displays settings for the \\Contoso\AccountingResources\LegacySoftware folder." Get-DfsnFolderTarget can be used to see the shares users are redirected to: "You can specify a DFS namespace folder path to see all the targets for that path."

The "Get-DfsnFolder" cmdlet will NOT be able to show where users will be redirected, no matter how you specify the DFS path to root or to published folder, ABC are incorrect.

I think Get-DfsnFolderTarget is correct. Futhrer more: Get-Dfsnfolder get settings for only namespace. Get-DfsnfolderTarget get settings for namespace and target folder. However both New-Dfsnfolder and New-DfsnfolderTarget get settings for namespace and target folder. I believe Get-Dfsn**** and New-Dfsn don't have same range for information.

Just tested this with my lab, Get-DfsnFolderTarget is the command which shows the "TargetPath". Get-FdsnFolder does NOT.

I think the given answer is correct. I understand "share" is the target folder.

I agree with the answer. They way I see it, The Get-dfsnFolder returns configuration settings for a Distributed File System (DFS) namespace folder, in our case folder1. The PS syntax would be Get-DfsnFolder -path "\\folderpath" On the other hand Get-DfsnFolderTarget returns folder settings such as: ReferralPriorityClass, ReferralPriorityRank, State etc. Also the PS syntax expects a -TargetPath switch which is not an option in the answers.

No, bro. Get-DfsnFolder will only get the configuration settings. When you specify a folder path using -path option, it will also return the configuration settings of that folder path. Answer is: Get-DfsnFolderTarget \\contoso.com\Namespace1\Folder1
