Your network contains an on-premises Active Directory domain named contoso.com that syncs to Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
You have the Windows 10 devices shown in the following table.

You need to ensure that you can use co-management to manage all the Windows 10 devices.
Which two actions should you perform? Each correct answer presents part of the solution.
NOTE: Each correct selection is worth one point.

  • A. Join Device 1, Device2, and Device4 to Azure AD.
  • B. Unjoin Device3, Device5, and Device6 from Azure AD, and then register the devices in Azure AD.
  • C. Enroll Device4 and Device5 in Intune.
  • D. Join Device2, Device3, and Device5 to the domain.
  • E. Install the Endpoint Configuration Manager agent on Device1 and Device3.

Suggested Answer: CE 🗳️
Co-management enables you to concurrently manage Windows 10 devices by using both Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune.
Co-management requires Configuration Manager version 1710 or later and enrollment in Microsoft Intune.
Windows 10 devices must be hybrid Azure AD joined.

Correct. There are two main paths to reach to co-management: Existing Configuration Manager clients: You have Windows 10 devices that are already Configuration Manager clients. You set up hybrid Azure AD, and enroll them into Intune. New internet-based devices: You have new Windows 10 devices that join Azure AD and automatically enroll to Intune. You install the Configuration Manager client to reach a co-management state.

A -> Windows devices must be connected to Azure AD. They can be either of the following types: - Hybrid Azure AD-joined, where the device is joined to your on-premises Active Directory and registered with your Azure Active Directory. Note: Devices that are only registered with Azure AD aren't supported with co-management. This configuration is sometimes referred to as workplace joined. They need to be either joined to Azure AD or hybrid Azure AD joined. For more information, see Handling devices with Azure AD registered state. - Azure AD-joined only. This type is sometimes referred to as cloud domain-joined.) https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/comanage/overview#azure-ad

Being joined to Azure AD is a must. It is also necessary to have a supported version of Configuration Manager Current Branch. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/comanage/overview On the other hand, we would enable automatic enrollment in Intune (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/enrollment/windows-enroll#enable-windows-automatic-enrollment) which would allow devices to be enrolled in Intune when we join them to Azure AD. So for me, A&E.

Answer is DE I think. The NOTE on the link clearly says: Devices that are only registered with Azure AD aren't supported with co-management. This configuration is sometimes referred to as workplace joined. They need to be either joined to Azure AD or hybrid Azure AD joined. If not correct, please help me with explaining.

I agree, device 2 is neither AD joined, nor AZAD joined, so they need all three options ( Intune , AZAD joined or AD joined and Config manager agent ) get them all to co-manage I think.

Actually, enrolling in Intune is not a must according to Question #47in Topic 4, Azure Ad registered only is also not supported, needs to be AZAD joined or Hybrid. If only AZAD joined then need SCCM Agent, So A and E I would go with. Can someone check with Microsoft if possible please?
