Answer is A. Microsoft state this on their site : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/use-system-restore-a5ae3ed9-07c4-fd56-45ee-096777ecd14e Use System restore to make restore points when you install a new app, driver, or Windows update, and when you create a restore point manually. Restoring won’t affect your personal files, but it will remove apps, drivers, and updates installed after the restore point was made. To go back to a restore point:

A: yes System restore would restore the computer to before the windows update quality update, but it's not specified in the question that the computer has system restore activated so might be a trick question.

Sounds valid with A - system restore / backup could be used here, makes sense.

The ansewer must be A.YES, you can set Windows to automatically create restore points before you install updates, for the prupose of reverting the computer in the event of an issue. which is the exact point of this question.

So there another way this question is worded, #24 towards the bottom, it asks you to select 3 options to complete the same thing, one of these has to be a system restore. The other options don't make sense, transitively making this yes.

Ans is A. Restore from a system restore point: This option takes your PC back to an earlier point in time, called a system restore point. Restore points are generated when you install a new app or driver, and when you create a restore point manually. Restoring won’t affect your personal files, but it will remove apps, drivers, and updates installed after the restore point was made.

I think JeepScratch is right. The bottom line is that the solution would remove the update. It doesn't matter if it would be the best way to do it or not.

Answer is B: No. This is a quality update, not a feature update. https://www.windowscentral.com/whats-difference-between-quality-updates-and-feature-updates-windows-10

It's a trick question. While system restore will restore the system state but it will not "remove" the update. But actually it won't remove everything completely. It dumps all the old files into a reserved folder which you cannot access. From a solution perspective it "may not" work even after system restore. Best would be to uninstall the update which was covered in the previous options. So, the answer would be NO for this.

System Restore only restores a chosen system state, it doesn't actually remove updates. Try it and you will see that your Windows updates history / last sync time will get faulty. The answer is B. No

Would agree with you, solutions states you restored from one that was created before the update so implies one was created and system restore has been enabled in my mind.
