B is correct."If you select the Teams or Yammer locations when you create a retention policy, the other locations are automatically excluded. This means that the instructions to follow depend on whether you need to include the Teams or Yammer locations:" https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/create-retention-policies?view=o365-worldwide#create-and-configure-a-retention-policy

Nop, One for Teams Private Channel Messages One for Teams chats One for everything else. One for Yammer (preview) If Yammer user messages Preview is considered , then One policy more for Yammer. It could be 3 or 4, depend on what Microsoft think when they created this question. I tested and I need 3

Similar to an earlier question, this must be B because 2 retention policies will be needed

Why? Here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/retention?view=o365-worldwide it is mentionned that "Retention label policies specify the locations to publish the retention labels. The same location can be included in multiple retention label policies." 1 policy is enough

But could this be a tricky one beacause all information in Teams chats are saved in OneDrive which is covered and then all information in Teams channels are saved in Sharepoint?

Ok I have tested it in compliance portal, and it does not allow to create one policy for all locations. There are restrictions on locations which can be selected in 1 policy. Based on it, below are the policies needed to have retention for all m365 locations: Policy 1: Exchange, SP & OD, Skype Policy 2: Teams chat and channel message Policy 3: Teams private channel messages Policy 4:Yammer community messages and yammer user messages.

Strangely, Teams private channel messages needs its own policy,it cannot be combined with any other location like teams chat

Looks good~ Hint: • Teams messages in private channels are not included in retention policies for Teams channels, if you want to retain private channel messages you need to create a designated retention policy for private channel messages only. You can't create a retention policy for both regular and private channel messages.

Answer is 2. Ignore all the noise/debate about Yammer and Teams Private because they are not in the scope of the case study's user data locations.

Another tricky question. Based on the locations specifically mentioned in the question, we are being asked to create 2 retention policies. Retention policy 1 - SharePoint, Onedrive, Exchange, Exchange Public Folders. Retention policy 2 - Teams chat, Teams Channel messages. The question does not ask for any more than this, so for me the answer is B (2).

Agreed 1 policy. Since the requirements for retention do not specify whether delete documents, then 1 policy for logest retention can meet requirements

3 is correct because retention periods are 3: 4 years for site 4; 10 years for project document and 1 year for remaining site, I think
