Should be BD as seem here in the link. In the note above the explanation it says that we can ALSO create retention policies for that... so I assume that the more correct answer should be BD. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/apply-retention-labels-automatically?view=o365-worldwide#how-to-auto-apply-a-retention-label

I cannot wrap my head around this. First you need a sensivity info type for the Project Alpha references, then you need a retention label for the retention settings and an auto-apply label policy to publish it to the site. So it is C, B and D in that order. You need all three. What am I missing here?

I got around this. You can define a content query for the project Alpha references in the auto-label policy. Therefore it is B & D for sure

I finally got this question. Sorry for the confusion. With a retention policy you can apply a sensitivity info type directly to a SP site. Tested in lab. Answer A+C

I believe it is BC. You create the custom Sensitive info type with keyword "Project Alpha". Then, You create an "auto-labeling policy" that use the custom Sensitive info type above and choose the location SPO. Incorrect A: I didn't find how to use Sensitive information type using Retention, Policies. The retention policy apply to the whole SPO not to specific items, if you use retention policies, It will retain all the files inside the SPO, not only the files with "Project Alpha"

Since we want to retain the documents for 2 years and then delete them we want to have a retention label that will get applied to these documents that contains the reference. To apply the retention label correctly we can use an auto-apply label policy and when configuring it we can add the reference Project Alpha to the auto-labeling policy

B and D looks correct Retention label is needed to define the 2 years and then delete setting An auto-label policy lets you choose an option on what to look for and you can tell it look for 'Project Alpha', then at the end of the policy you apply the label you just created and it'll use those two elements to meet the answer.

I think the answer is right, because you have to create the retention label first to define the action, then you create the auto apply retention policy, then choose the Info Sensitivity type and choose the created retention label. We assume that the sensitivity info type is already created.

Keep in mind that "Retention Policy" is for being the default retention schema for the new itens... the auto-apply is also for what is already inside SP without a label.

not agree with the proposed answer. It should be A, D. Retention label policy applies to single document (item level). Whereas Retention Policy to a whole container, like SP Site content, Mailbox See: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/retention?view=o365-worldwide#retention-policies-and-retention-labels

I think the key here is "reference to...", which means there are other documents in the SP site that do not reference the Alpha Project and therefor do not need to be retained/labeled. If this is the case, then BD is the answer, otherwise you'll end up retaining all the documents in the site and not just those with the reference to the project.

I'd tend to agree with you on this one. Since the question asks you to label multiple documents within a SP site this would likely be done at the site level not the document level so I'd probably use a retention policy. Unless I'm missing something in the question
