The answer is correct. You run an AIP scanner on premise. You cannot configure auto labeling from compliance center on premise

Since we are going to place sensitivty labels on exisiting on Data shared folder we have to use unified scanner which is called content scan job now

Answer is correct. It can't be "A" because the data share is located on-premise and needs to have unified labeling client installed which is from Azure Information protection. If the document is online then auto-labeling can be applied using M365 compliance center.

Nop, Auto-labeling can't apply to the on-premise file share. Auto-labeling apply to SPO, OneDrive for Business and Exchange online for Email in transit

To inspect your files, the scanner uses IFilters installed on the computer. To determine whether the files need labeling, the scanner uses the Microsoft 365 built-in data loss prevention (DLP) sensitivity information types and pattern detection, or Microsoft 365 regex patterns.
