Your link is not about Azure Policy initiative but about policy initiative in general. Take a look here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/security-center/security-policy-concept

WRONG - B IS CORRECT ..An Azure Policy initiative is a collection of Azure Policy definitions, or rules, that are grouped together towards a specific goal or purpose. Azure initiatives simplify management of your policies by grouping a set of policies together, logically, as a single item.

Using the rule of elimination, we can remove C&D from the onset. I think we all agree on this. So it is between A & B, which at the face of it appear to be the same answer. But, and it is a big but, B contains the word ASSIGMENTS. This kind of spoils it as being a valid answer. * Policy definition is the conditions which you want controlled. T * Policy ASSIGNMENT is the scope of what the policy definition can take effect around. So for me the answer is correct: A- collection of policy definitions (where the word AZURE is implicit in the question)

"collect of policy definitions" is the answer. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/governance/policy/overview#initiative-definition An initiative definition is a collection of policy definitions that are tailored toward achieving a singular overarching goal. Initiative definitions simplify managing and assigning policy definitions. They simplify by grouping a set of policies as one single item. For example, you could create an initiative titled Enable Monitoring in Microsoft Defender for Cloud, with a goal to monitor all the available security recommendations in your Microsoft Defender for Cloud instance.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/modules/describe-features-tools-azure-for-governance-compliance/3-describe-purpose-of-azure-policy An Azure Policy initiative is a way of grouping related policies together. The initiative definition contains all of the policy definitions to help track your compliance state for a larger goal. For example, Azure Policy includes an initiative named Enable Monitoring in Azure Security Center. Its goal is to monitor all available security recommendations for all Azure resource types in Azure Security Center.
