Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer:
The answer to this question depends on whether User1 and User2 have been added as guests. The question does not say that they are guests so we would have to assume they're not.
External Access is turned off. Even with the Contoso.com domain added as an allowed domain, the Off settings override this. If the external access settings were
'On', they would be on for only the Contoso.com domain.

Box 1: No -
If External Access was On, the answer to this would still be No. If User2 was a guest, the answer to this would be Yes.

Box 2: No -
If External Access was On, the answer to this would still be No. External Access does not enable Meet Now for the external user. If User1 was a guest, the answer to this would be Yes.

Box 3: No -
If External Access was On, the answer to this would still be No. External Access does not allow blocking. If User1 was a guest, the answer to this would be Yes.

Horrible question, you should never had to presume an important piece of info that could change the answers! Shame on MS for putting a low quality, trick question in the exam.

The company has a third-party supplier named adventureworks.com. Users in litwareinc.com collaborate with the following users by using Microsoft Teams: ✑ [email protected][email protected] The are already added as guest if they are already collaborating in teams

Guest access: "Use guest access to add a person from outside your organization to a team, where they can chat, call, meet, and collaborate on files." And they are already collaborating as the question says therefore they should be added already as guests Y Y N

So they are trying you to teach you not to make assumptions and still you are going to make the assumption that collaborating in this context means access to your tenant? Collaborating can just as well mean sensing emails to eachother...

If you are collaborating with someone on the outside of your org, it does not mean they are added as guest. The question does not mention the external users as guest. Just says they are collaborating. That would mean they are making calls, chatting etc.

"Users in litwareinc.com collaborate with the following users by using Microsoft Teams" don't we understand from this statement in the question that user1 and user2 are already added as guests?! I would answer as YYY

If it says they collaborate using teams, that should mean they can reach each other, hence they are guests. in this case I would choose Y-Y-Y

IMHO External access (federation) By default, external access is enabled for all domains. they do not tell us, the thirty party company is federated, we assume, NO, they do not Tell us if was invited as guest, so assume NO as well so assuming NO as default when not specific instructions were gave it yo us ANSWER NO, NO, NO

"Users in litwareinc.com collaborate with the following users by using Microsoft Teams: [email protected], [email protected]" If so, they must have been added as guests. It's a question of what access they have, not whether or not they're guests.

No, why do you assume collaborating with Teams means access to your tenant? Could be just calling eachoter, chatting with eachoter or whatever?

Whilst they are independent features, Guest Access only come into effect if "Provided that the user has been added as a guest and is signed with the guest account" https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/communicate-with-users-from-other-organizations Since there is no mention of adventurework.com or contoso.com being invited as Guests, we have to assume that they dont have Guest account and therefore - NO/NO/NO

In my opinion the correct answer is YES, YES, NO. Guest Access and External Access are indipendent features that works on different layers: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/communicate-with-users-from-other-organizations

Agreed. Did you even bother reading the link you posted? External access: "Set up external access if you need to find, call, chat, and set up meetings with people outside your organization who use Teams, Skype for Business (online or on premises) or Skype." Guest access: "Use guest access to add a person from outside your organization to a team, where they can chat, call, meet, and collaborate on files." "meet and collaborate on files" is what the question is asking in questions 1 and 2. So no,

I think answer should be YYY: 1st Y - they have already guest accounts ("Users in litwareinc.com collaborate with the following users") so user2 can share files 2nd Y - the same reason - User1 can use Meet now 3rd Y - see link you provided - table "Things your users can do" and there is "Block someone in another organization" - Yes for "Guest access"
