DRAG DROP -

Select and Place:

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer:
Fabrikam plans to implement a Microsoft 365 Enterprise subscription and move all email and shared documents to the subscription.
All users must be able to exchange email messages successfully during Project1 by using their current email address.
After the planned migration to Microsoft 365, all users must continue to authenticate to their mailbox and to SharePoint sites by using their UPN.
This configuration requires a hybrid Exchange configuration during the pilot phase. This means that you will have mailboxes hosted in Exchange Online and mailboxes hosted in Exchange on-premise.
The first steps to configure Exchange hybrid are to Create the Azure AD tenant, add the Fabrikam.com domain as a custom domain, then configure directory synchronization to replicate the on-prem Active Directory user accounts to Azure Active Directory.

It says that you create the M365 tenant..what you do next? when you create the tenant, by default the Azure AD tenant is create. The correct answer should be: configure domains, implement directory sync & run hybrid wizard

This is the correct answer. Have done this IRL. Azure AD is setup when you create the 365 tenant in the first place. So you add the custom domain. Setup the dirsync (ADConnect). Then run the hybrid wiz to move the mailboxes seamlessly.

You are 100% correct. The text is saying: You create the Microsoft 365 tenant. Which three actions should you perform in sequence next? To answer, move the appropriate actions from the list of actions to the answer area and arrange them in the correct order. To start with the tenant again is wrong! Missed this at first reading!

Yes some people misread that the M365-tenant is created in the question, but the answer is asking about the AAD-tenant. 2 different things and would make sense to ask if MS wants you to know that an AAD-tenant is created with the M365-tenant at the same time!

Agree - Implementing directory synchronization is on the "Hybrid deployment prerequisites" list: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/hybrid-deployment-prerequisites

question @moderator: why don't you group all the case studies of the same type together? It is so much easier and less time consuming to work through them if you don't need to jump between different cases. This case study has started on previous page, but with just one question.

Is stated : "you create ..." - not "you created ...'" - one letter makes a big difference. So the answer is correct

if you are reading that closely, read further on You create the Microsoft 365 tenant. Which three actions should you perform in sequence next? which actions should you perform NEXT, as in "after the previous action"

I think C-B-E shold be better options. First, why you create a tenant if you have one? It says "You create the Microsoft 365 tenant". Clear as water. Then, you never run the HCW. How do you want to have the Migration Endpoint created to migrate the mailboxes? Yes, you can create it manually, but if you have the option here is because I understand that you should run it to get the Migration Endpoint.

Little hint there, "user accounts needs to be moved over to the cloud from on-prem first". (by using Azure Ad connect) Then, you'd migrate emails and files over to the cloud. Users UPN's has to be in both places to be able to authenticate. (on-prem and Azure AD) Life is good~

Disagree with answer. In task we have next requerements: Fabrikam plans to implement a Microsoft 365 Enterprise subscription and move all email and shared documents to the subscription. Project1: During Project1, the mailboxes of 100 users in the sales department will be moved to Microsoft 365. After the planned migration to Microsoft 365, all users must continue to authenticate to their mailbox and to SharePoint sites by using their UPN. Before you are able to move mailbox you must configure Hybrid configuration https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/hybrid-deployment/move-mailboxes#what-do-you-need-to-know-before-you-begin directory synchronization is part of Hybrid configuration wizzard so we don't need to run it separetely. My answer is: Create a Microsoft Azure AD tenant Configure the requered DNS records Run the Hybrid Configuration Wizzard

First, it says "you create the Microsoft 365 tenant", so why you should create the tenant again? And then, HCW doesn´t set up Directoy Sync https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/hybrid-deployment-prerequisites "Active Directory synchronization: Deploy the Azure Active Directory Connect tool to enable Active Directory synchronization with your on-premises organization." I think better option should be: C-B-E

Creating a new Microsoft 365 tenant - Option C isnt needed. It already exists, you said so yourself.

Directory synchronisation is in fact a prerequisit of the Hybrid Configuration Wizard, not part of it!
